We seek to incorporate biomechanics and movement science coupled with exercise physiology and strength/conditioning to promote optimal healing from an injury as well as to prevent injury. Current minimum guidelines for exercise from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services state that we need to obtain dosage of exercise per week of 1,000 METS*Minutes, which is equal to 30-60 minutes of 2.5 miles per hour pace walking at least 5 days per week. To achieve weight loss, exercise should range from 1,250 to 1,750 METS*minutes of exercise per week. This would entail 4.0 miles per hour pace walking for 77 minutes per day of 5 days of exercise! These guidelines can be very difficult to achieve on your own. Let us help you improve your function to accomplish daily tasks and to improve your ability to exercise. Live healthy and reach your goals.
